Program Objectives
To provide incentive for citizens and groups within the Washakie County Conservation District to implement natural resource conservation practices to address soil erosion, water quality and quantity, energy conservation, food production, waste management, education, green infrastructure, habitat improvement, and beautification of the natural landscape along public corridors.

Selection Process
This program offers two batching review periods, with applications due April 1st or August 1st. Application packets are available through our website or in person at our district office. Cost Share recipients will be selected, and payment decisions will be made by the Washakie County Conservation District Board of Supervisors at the April and August meetings following the application deadline. It is the responsibility of the applicant to make the case that the project meets the objective of the program and has a public benefit. Cost share recipients must complete the project within the same fiscal year that funds are awarded.
Payment
Washakie County Conservation District will cost share 50% of the total project cost up to a maximum cost share of $2,500.00.

Eligibility
To be eligible for this program, the following eligibility criteria must be met:
- Location for project being implemented must be within the City of Worland or Town of Ten Sleep city limits.
- Residents, businesses, service organizations, schools, museums, churches, partnering organizations, and others as determined and approved by the WCCD Board of Supervisors, within the Washakie County Conservation District boundary.
- If the construction of this project crosses other landowners’ property, applicant will need to have discussed the proposed project and received preliminary access approval and permission to install. (Refer to Landowner Permission to Install Form).
- Only one grant may be awarded per applicant/organization per fiscal year.

Payment
Washakie County Conservation District will cost share 50% of the total project cost up to a maximum cost share of $2,500.00.
- We will match cash expenditures with receipts only.
- In-kind contributions will be capped at 25% of the total project cost and will be based on a labor rate of $15.00 per hour.
- All projects must be pre-approved before being initiated and must be evaluated upon completion.
- After project completion and inspection, cost share will be issued based on signed receipts and documentation of in-kind contributions.
